The family of a 10-day-old boy was on an ambulance which was paid by people in Danang to return to his hometown.

Xong Ba Xo and his wife come from the mountainous area — Tam Hop Commune, Tuong Duong District, Nghe An Province. They immigrated to Binh Duong to make a living as workers.

The COVID-19 pandemic made him and his wife unemployed. Binh Duong have been imposed social distancing policy. No public activity and no public passenger transportation out of the town is allowed during the strict time.

With no other choice, the couple had to ride a motorbike to carry their 10-day-old son over 1,000km to their hometown.

Arriving in Da Nang, his family was fortunate to be supported by a local resident who rented an ambulance to make the returning home of Xo’s 10-day-old son safer and more comfortable.

At the moment, Xong Ba Xo’s family arrived his hometown, safe and sound, there are thousand families are still out there, carrying their children cross thousands of kilometers on their motorbike to come back home.
